Richard Bannister

“Henry Donaldson and Richard Bannister qualified with a BDS in the same year at Sheffield University Dental School in 2001. They have since worked in both NHS and private practice, both at home and overseas. Their commitment to a higher standard of care has seen them both undertake extensive further postgraduate study that gives them a firm grounding in the sciences of restorative and cosmetic dentistry. They are delighted to be taking over as lead dentists at Swan, and to be continuing the tradition of quality patient care upheld by Mrs Norman and her predecessors.”
Richard originally hails from the wrong side of the Pennines, but we won't hold that against him. After completing his Vocational Training in Devon, Richard has since worked in places as diverse as New Zealand, Fort William Scotland, and Australia. He now enjoys spending time in the Dales with his wife and two children, hiking, climbing, biking and kayaking....he hopes they will be fast learners. Richard has furthered his interest in dentistry by completing a Masters Degree in prosthodontics (crowns, bridges and dentures) at Manchester University (2006). He has also spent two years as a Vocational Trainer, mentoring and guiding junior dentists (2007-2009), and is a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He enjoys tailoring treatment to suit you and your individual concerns, and takes the time to explain everything fully.
